My son graduated from this school in 2014 and is now going to Harvard university! This shows that even though it has a low grade kids are able to do there best.

My school is nothing I expected it to be... while all the performing arts programs are pretty good, the students are TERRIBLE. Most of them aren't even there for performing arts and don't have a major. Luckily those kids say they're transferring (fingers crossed). Academically, my school is ... challenging. Only because your facing challenges by yourself because teachers "are not allowed" to help students during independent practice, which i understand because it's "independent practice" , but a little guidance won't hurt. The teachers also show ALOT of favoritism... it can be really bad sometimes. Personally , the only thing keeping me in that school is my performing art & I've spoken to other students that say the same thing.

About the tests


In 2012-2013 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, Earth science and physics. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.

About the tests


In 2012-2013 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, Earth science and physics. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate.
