I am also very sad that OLL is closing. It was a very close school family and I wish everyone well. It is sad to see the children breaking up and going to different schools. Some catholic, some public. May God bless us all.

I am very sad that OLL is closing. It is such a shame because it is a great school. The school is like a family and the teachers are wonderful. Any school would be lucky to have the teachers that teach at Our Lady of Lourdes. Unfortunately, times have changed and thanks to the angry parents that got mad at the school because of changes, they left the school and accomplished nothing but hurting their children and the children of OLL because now it is closed. I wish all the best to the teachers and staff at OLL and hope that the future is brighter for all.

My son is in the 8th grade and is has been OLL since 3rd grade. I have to agree with the other parents. This school is small and family oriented. The teachers stay on my kid as if he is theirs! He is a B/B+ student, he used to be a C student with a high iq and they identified his learning disability and gave him stategies to help him self. They worked with me every step of the way and now he is a successful, independent student. Our family loves OLL. I am sad this is our last year.

my son is in this 3rd year there. he really likes the school and I love the way the teachers and principal handle behavior problems. they try to build self-esteem, which is lacking in many schools. I actually like the fact that there is only 1 class per grade because the kids get to move and grow together

I've been at this school for 8 years. My oldest DD is a first honor student, (scores 99% on the IOWA's), and DD #2 is a second honor student (scores 90% on the Iowa's). I love the teachers, they are quite approachable. And the fact that it is a small school is to my benefit. I like going in for lunch duty, the teachers and kids know me, I know them, a real family feeling. As for the gym, they go outside weather permitting, (where there is a new basketball court), and when they can't they stay in the 'Gym room' and play whatever sport they can. The lack of a 'real' gym does not concern me. They have a computer room, a library, an art room, and they also have a learning center for kids who are behind. I just love the school, and it feels like family to me!

This school has no gymnasium, as they have gym in a classroom with padded walls, and is smaller than a regular class room. Its field has a very bad drainage system. It's snack table only has junk food. It has one class per grade with about 20-25 kids.
