great small town school, all the teachers know your child and you. A students problems are addressed and everyone works hard to help. All kids at this school are given a fair shot, Mayfield doesn't give up on your child.

I'm looking at that 6 and thinking that Mayfield Elementary School is more than a six! Yes, we have brought our scores up, but school is more than just test scores. Mayfield has had Pre-K in our district for longer than I can remember. We also have ESP - Exploring Student Potential - a Gifted and Talented program, Odyssey of the Mind a national competition for problem-solvers. Our elemenatry school band has students from fourth - sixth grade. Instrumental lessons start in third grade. We have a Character Education program that emphasizes a different component of character that we want to see our students exhibit. Our READ 25 program encourages students to read 25 books on their own each year. AT mid-year our school had read over 4,000 books. My computer just told I have to end our school is more like a ten than a six!
