My Daughter went to Town School- Pre-k class. I was horrified absolutly horrrified, with the short 3 week experience before I pulled her out. The teachers where not friendly at all. I was repremended in public about parking in the the worng spot by a women or teacher that worked there. I was told I could'nt pick my daughter up outside the door, I had to wait in my car. Then when she didn't come out. Someone went to look for her and she had wondered away. Wasn't there any one looking over her?!! My daughter was scared and crieing. The first and only time I went to observe the class room for the day, the class went out to recess . The Pre-k with 3rd graders and so forth. I was horrified to see these boys flipping up my daughters dress to see her underwear! The Teachers wernt paying attention!

The level and success of the academic programs within the Medina Central School District are seriously lacking. In many of the classes there are not enough books for each of the students to have one. In addition many of the teachers aren't certified. The art, music, sports and other extracurricular activities need more funding and better equipment. In addition All-County and perhaps the string section of the band should be brought back. Unfortunately, the level of parent involvement is not what it should be. Medina Central School District is wrought with problems; the top of the list is the administrators failure to be effective communicators, motivators, and partners with the students, the parents, and the community in general. The right hand very frequently does not know what the left hand is doing. As a teacher and primarily as a parent it is frustrating to see the uncaring administrators continue on.
