I feel that Oak Orchard is a wonderful school with very dedicated and caring teachers and staff we are willing to go the extra mile for your child. However, parents need to remember that their child's education is also in their hands and should not be left solely to the teacher.

The Orleans County Genealogical Society needed child actors for an educational event about the orphan trains and called Oak Orchard Elementary for some help. The teacher replied, 'I can give you 100 great kids from our Cultural Enrichment Group'! We used 14 kids and they were absolutely wonderful. All of us were very impressed. The kids were immediately attentive and did everything they were asked to do. They even looked out for the three and four year olds also involved in the program. From street sweepers, apple sellers and newsboys, right through until their 'adoption' they stayed in character! Oak Orchard is a great school, with great teachers and even greater kids! They earned a '5' in our book! Holly Canham, President, OCGS April 2004
