My children go there and every day, when they come home from school, with their smiling faces, they can't wait to tell me all of the exciting tings that they did that day.

Things are cheery at Sunquam. They believe in alot of hands on learning and a lot of field trips. Tests are usually inconsequential (nothing happens if you don't do well and no great pressure to study.) This doesn't prepare them well for the pressures of middle school. However, the school does alot of preparation for the state tests. This year all of the grades get the state tests. The school will go crazy preparing for the math test for a few weeks and then bombard the kids with another subject a week after. This frustrates the kids because they blow through a whole year's worth of each subject in a few weeks.

I am very happy with the school and the teachers. The principal is always involved and concerned about the children, my son will no doubt receive a wonderful education here and is treated wonderfully!

Sunquam Elementary School is an exceptional place for students to grow and learn. The children are the focus of the school. The staff works hard to help each child achieve his/her best by providing individual attention and care. The school is lead by a principal who knows each and every child. She motivates the teachers to do their best and provides an ideal environment for children to grow and learn in.
