As an educator, I have never seen an administration so clueless about instruction and with a clueless administration comes teachers who cannot strive. The school does well since most students enter kindergarten in the average or above average category already. Unfortunately, the teachers do not know how to teach to the students who fall below average nor do they know how to differentiate instruction for any student.

Great School. The newest principle has to go. She has no clue how to run a school. Some teachers are too young and lack experience.

Great school! Awesome teachers! An incredibly challenging curriculum- great expectations of students academically ,[good for competitors but completely stresses other children]. They teach to the 'ELA' to portray perfect children and perfect scores. The parental involvement is highly influential and appears intimidating to the staff.Leadership questionable, 2nd weak principal in a row.

The level of parent involvement is extremely high.. However, I would like to see the Parents participate in more Character Development issues since many, many of the students need to develop more respect for their fellow students. Academically, the school does well.

Lakeside is a great school, but it's competitive and perhaps not the best environment for children. The teachers are nice, but they're young and seem to be easily influenced by the parents. I don't like the fact that kindergarten children share a lunch room - at the same time - with the 5th graders. You can imagine how intimadating it must be for the 5 year olds.
