My son attends Old Mill Road School. Throughout his educational experience he has faced an uphill battle due to various learning disabilities. I am constantly impressed by the level of commitment that the teachers of Old Mill Road show to him and the rest of our kids. Each child is approached as an individual, their needs are assessed, and the teaching staff as a whole rallies together to create the optimal learning experience for our kids. Mrs. Leudesdorf creates a sense of team among her staff which benefits the children in every aspect! Thank you Old Mill Road teachers for everything that you do!

My nieces attend school at Old Mill and I'm constantly amazed by the level of interaction that takes place between the students and the staff. The clearest examples that come to mind are the open house events, which look more like an amalgamation of art, science, and history museums than simply the hard work and endless imaginations of the children; a direct reflection of the spirit of the school at large. Old Mill Road School is a blessing for the young minds that are fortunate enough to attend.

really not happy with the school or the principle. Graduation day awards were ridiculous, 90% of the students got an award. guess awards dont mean much. (except for the 10% who didnt get one)

One of the reasons why we moved to Merrick is because of the school system which is fantastic. The teachers are wonderful and the district is great to work with. I've really gotten to know many parents who I can now call good friends. P. Daddario

This is a wonderful school where the children come first. The parents are very involved. Teachers are very invovled and extra services are always available if needed.
