Sacred Heart I a wonderful school, the quality of education is superb. The school althetic program, music program and all the other programs offered at this school has really enriched my children's lives. They look forward to getting up and going to school daily. The staff is wonderful as well as the many parents I meet since my children have been attending this school.

While I have been graduated from the school for many years, some of my best memories are from my years at SHS. My teachers were wonderful and kind and I made some of my best friends here. I can't remember a time when I was stressed out here...all I remember is happy things. Great place, and now I am sure it's even better.

It is the only place we considered for sending our three children. Family oriented, values based curriculum, and the most caring teachers around!

Sacred Heart School in Monroe was the answer to our prayers when it came time to look for an alternative to our school district. I am constantly amazed by the excellence in education I see on a daily basis but am overwhelmed by the enthusiasm I get from parents and students in higher grades. Just when you thought you finally got the best, most fun teacher... someone in a higher grade can't wait to share their enthusiasm about their experience. I am so happy we chose SHS for our son. He is getting an outstanding education and the morals we are teaching him at home are reinforced by the school as well as the parents of his schoolmates.

All of the sacrifices we indured to send our children through SHS are all worth it when we repeatedly hear the words, 'You have such won derful chidren' and 'Your children are so nice and well behaved'. Not only have they had a great education, they have made lifelong friends. I love our SHS family!

Sacred Heart School, Monroe is the best school hands down! The family atmosphere really sets us apart from other schools. Academically, the teachers are constantly exceeding expecations and are always finding ways to raise the bar for our children. I am proud that my children attend this wonderful institution! Go SHS! We love you!

I love Sacred Heart because it is a family oriented school. Everybody helps each other with anything. The only thing this school is lacking is funding. Sacred Heart could do so much more if we have just little more funding. I would'nt send my child to any other school than Sacred Heart.

This school is seems to hold its true word on Faith, Knowledge, and Value. The teachers offer more to their students with extra help in their courses, study habits, and homework too. The principle is out going on providing SHS students with a good education and keeping up with state tests. Our pastor is also committed to providing SHS students with excellent academic standards in education and is there to greet the children morning and after school with the principal. SHS school has shown to be very supportive and understanding to the children there.

Sacred Heart School provides a loving, family environment for children. There are many active parents at the school who enrich the curricular and extracurricular activities. The principal and the teachers are extremely dedicated and creative. They engage the children beyond the textbooks. The 3rd grade social studies curriculum included the children making passports and simulating plane travel to imagine they were actually going to the countries they studied. When they 'arrived' in each country, they created crafts, celebrated national holidays, and even put on cultural dress costumes, some the children made themselves. The fourth grade social studies unit on Colonial America include recreating a colonial village for the school. Each child had to select a trade, research it, and make materials in a 'shop' they set up. My daughter will never forget her role as a milliner in the colonial village. She was very excited about each step in the preparation process. When the day finally came, the children had an absolute ball! They taught and learned from each other. The project was not costly, and the learning experience couldn't have been duplicated by simply reading about the colonial period. Finally, we have a wonderful pastor who is fully committed to providing SHS children with a first-rate education.

Sacred Heart in Monroe is a great school with a creative and enthusiastic faculty, an extremely active parents' association, and a dedicated and caring administration. Our pastor is sincerely supportive of our school and you can find him there every day. He greets the children most mornings and sees them off onto the buses at the end of the day. We are very blessed to have him.

There is no place like Sacred Heart in Monroe, NY. With much less money than the public schools, Sacred Heart still manages to educate the whole child - not only academically and physically, but spiritually as well. Free of the bureaucracy and lethargy that plague most large public school systems, and with a tradition of emphasizing discipline and academic excellence, Sacred Heart has withstood the test of time when many parochial schools are dwindling. And some how manage to spend nearly half the money per pupil in comparison. It is the quality teachers employed at Sacred Heart School and the Sacred Heart Parish as well as parishes of the surrounding community who contribute to our school that makes us so successful. We are extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful school!

Sacred Heart School provides my children with a quality education that is encompassed with basic moral values and guidance. The school reinforces our home's standards and expectations. In addition, class sizes are small, learning the state standards are paramount, the importance of individual responsibility as well as learning and recognizing one's own strengths and weaknesses is a focus in the school setting which only fosters continued growth of students! Valuable education!

I love this school because it instills values that I believe in. Every child is made to feel special. There is so much love and guidance provided. My daughter loves going to Sacred Heart School and can't wait for Mondays to come so she can go back and see all her friends and beloved teachers. She has thrived both academically and spiritually and truly enjoys going to school. I have an older daughter who attended public school and weekly religious education and I can't compare the two experiences. When my daughters class made their First Holy Communion, I was proud of all the children and shared their parents joy. This was so different from when my older daughter made hers. I didn't even know who was in her class or their parents!

Sacred Heart school in Monroe N.Y. is not just a great school because of its wonderful teachers, staff or the great principle, but more than that we are a family and are always there helping and supporting each other. The children are very respectful to everyone and taught values that every parent hopes to instill in their child. My children love the school and can't wait to go back and see their friends, even over summer vacation!! Class size is wonderful, academics are great and they offer various afterschool activities.

I am an alumni of this beautiful school and parish and grew up in a strongly faithful and safe environment with wonderful memories that will never be forgotten. My fondest memories are with that of my 3rd and 5th grade teacher, Mrs. Talty, who is probably one of the most, or if not the most dedicated and religious teacher at Sacred Heart School. If your children are lucky enought to learn and grow in the catholic faith with this wonderful person, you will be pleased with her teaching styles and loving attitude!

My children and I love Sacred Heart School and Church! My oldest son started in the M-W public school system and I am extremely happy we made the switch when he was young to SHS. The atmosphere is one of nurturing the whole child through faith, knowledge and hard work. My children have grown in many dimensions and are becoming responsible members of society who will know the difference between right and wrong. Many new extra-curricular activies have been added recently too for the children. The school definitely has the feeling of 'one big family'. All the children seem to know one another no matter what grade they are in. Keep up the good work, SHS!

I am so thrilled and thankful that my husband and I have been able to send our two daughters to this school. The children there are very polite, values taught at home are reinforced and the children are now able to attend mass with their classmates on a weekly basis to grow in their faith. I cannot say enough about the dedicated teachers and principal, the young but very traditional priests and the great families at Sacred Heart School. I attended this school as a child and it has only gotten better ! Something special, most likely Jesus himself, has led me and my family back to this school and we love it !

We are newcomers to this wonderful little school and we are very happy, so far. It was nice to have a familiar alternative when St. Joseph School in Florida closed in 2007. Teachers are very approachable and helpful to students in need always going the extra mile and returning calls from the week... even on a Sunday

I`ve been a student at SHS as long as i can remember. Following after my brothers and sisters Sacred Heart is part of my family. The teachers really do care about your grades and you overall well being. This September I will be going into 8th grade my last year and I know it will be great. Our faculty and the parents that help out with everything make the school a great place to be. Sacred Heart is a great school for parents to send there kids, they`ll make many great memories like I have.

SHS is not just a school, it is a family! From First Friday Masses where Kindergartners have 8th grade 'buddies' to our recent Barn Dance Tonight Spring Concert, SHS provides a warm, caring and loving atmosphere based on solid Catholic Values. Our teachers are certainly not there to make money. They are there for the love of the children, the love of teaching and building a solid foundation. They are making a diference and are in partnership with the parents nuturing, guiding and loving our children. The Principal is very warm and loving and her door is always open. Her decisions are based on what is best for the children of Sacred Heart School. The Parent Board works hard to organize many events and fundraisers that join together the school community and Parish community. Parish Clergy are very visible in the classrooms daily. For us, SHS is the place to be.

I am a current student at Sacred Heart, or 'SHS' we like to call it. I've been going to this school ever since pre-k and I'm now in 7th grade. The school has definitly changed for the better over the years I've been here. Just a couple years ago we got a new principal and she's great. She has added more after school activities such as Drama Club, Soccer, and student tutor sessions. Of course there's the usual cheerleading and basketball teams too. We also have alot of school events such as pep rallies, field days, and picnics. These events are for the students (parents are welcome) to just enjoy a day of fun outside and with their friends. In class, education wise, we learn alot. Our teachers are great and aside from what's in the text books they also teach us life values. Sacred Heart, the place to be. =]

We started our children at Sacred Heart this past September and we are thrilled with every aspect of the education that they are getting. The environment of the school is warm and caring. The students in all grades are polite and kind to each other. Extra-curricular activities include boy scouts, girl scouts, cheerleading, sports, drama, chorus, music and a science club. All the activities of the church, such as reading the liturgy and prayer groups, are also open to the children. There are a lot of family activities for every holiday from Halloween to Easter. Although I wouldn't rate this school high in 'bells and whistles' it ranks strongly in what's most important to children: giving them a solid education in a safe, caring environment.

Not to impress with the school they need alot of changes in teaching. To much money is spent on this school for your child. I would look around and compare. Pay more attention on the grade curriculm what is offered to your child on their grade level. They need to improve on following state curriculum in education. Book supplies are an issue.

You do not get a lot for one of the highest tuition rates in Orange County. Between fees of over $300 per child for registration, mandatory fundraisers, class dues, grocery store gift certificates, and even a fee to pay your tuition, you may as well be in college!

The teachers at Sacred Heart are great. The availability of music, art and sports are quite limited. Technology is limited,no language. Parents are quite involved, if they are liked by the higher-ups.

We have two children in Sacred Heart. The teachers are well qualified and more importantly very caring. The children are polite and well behaved. The atmosphere is family oriented with plenty of chances for parental involvement. The principal is in her second year and making some nice changes. Small class sizes. Basketball and cheerleading are offered grades 4 and up but only if grades are good. Catholic atmosphere.

Both my children have gone to SHS since they were 5 years old. SHS is a school where the children come first. Each child is encouraged to do their personal best without being labeled as the smart or dumb kids. The teachers are highly skilled and work hard to bring out the best in each child. The principal is kind and knows each child by name. She is a great example of a leader .
