FGL: small, personal, yet complete and well-rounded. The mix of economic backgrounds of FGL families keeps things real while the very active PTA ensures awesome extras like trips to historical sites, the theater, and nature preserves, even cooking with the chefs at a 5 star restaurant! The personal help my older daughter got in her inclusion class (as a regular student), including before-school tutoring, skyrocketed her from middling to top reading and math in one year. FGL matches students with like-achieving peers for reading and math beginning in 3rd grade, so classes are appropriately paced. Instrumental music starts at grade 4 with a choice of brass or string instruments. Besides music, kids get weekly art and library
