We are very happy for the most part with lenape and duzine. Our two boys have had mostly great teachers. The principals are wonderful.

This is a great school with an unpresidented amount of parental access. I was very pleased with the 3-5 education that my son received here. There is a great deal of art and music and they have a few nationally ranked teachers.

My daughter is in 3rd grade. New Paltz does not offer much in the way of cultural enrichment. My experience with the New Paltz district has been that if your child barely has to study to do well then it's a good school. If your child just needs a little help, forget it. Your child must be classified as disabled in order to get any good help. I have volunteered in all of my daughter's classes since kingergarten. I am pretty familiar with the teachers and administration. Some of the teachers are outstanding. Most are average. The school's main focus in 2nd & 3rd grade is preparing the students for the statewide 4th grade tests. That seems to be the only focus. There's not much time put aside for cultural programs like music, plays, learning about the arts. There is a great deal of homework. Every night.
