Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

Best experience I've had with a grammer school! And I've had a lot! My son has soared in all areas the teachers are amazing! Especially Ms Varian! She helps the children begin their school experience in an amazing setting! She's the best teacher I've ever met! This school deserves 10 stars! All the staff is amazing as well!

Trinity is a school on the rise and it has shown steady improvement over the past few years. Trinity has a dedicated staff of excellent teachers, some of whom I would rate as exceptional. The school experienced a few changes in leadership over the past few years, but has found solid footing with the new principal, Anthony DiCarlo. I am impressed with Mr. DiCarlo and expect him to bring Trinity to new heights. The school has an excellent musical program that includes an orchestra and the school district's only marching elementary school band. Two of my children attended and graduated from Trinity (one attends NRHS and the other attends IEY Middle School). Both children have excelled in their post-Trinity academic careers making high honor roll every marking period. My older child takes AP and honors level classes at NRHS. Both were well prepared by their teachers at Trinity. Parental involvement must improve in order for Trinity to reach the next tier of excellence. Many families at Trinity are new to the country and fellow parents, school administration, and the community must encourage these families to get involved.

Educationwise the school is great but my son is fortunate enough to be in the CILA program. The kids seem nice and my son found a nice diverse group of friends but its still a little too ghetto for my tastes. I havent heard of too many bullying incidents but I ran across more than a few parents that were thugs. This school could be really great if parents would get more involved, the town could clean up the school grounds once ina while, and affirmatively market the CILA and Kaleidoscope programs to the Stephenson and Davenport neighborhoods who send thier kids to Holy Name out of unfair/antiquated preconceived notions about Trinity.

I am a parent of two children at Trinity Elementary School. With one child graduating I have to say that I have been so happy with his education. Our principal, Rolando Briceno, is marvelous. He has done an outstanding job. He has helped keep our students safe and has made Trinity an excellent school again. I only wish he could stay so that my youngest son could have a chance to finish his years at Trinity with Mr. Briceno as the principal.

My son went to Trinity for half-day Kindergarten and Pre-school Learning for the other half-day after being declassified from Special Ed. Before the school year started I sat down with the Principal about what Teacher would be a good match, communication being important especially considering just being declassified, etc. I shoudl have followed my instinct. I was unhappy with Curr. and staff. They are friendly but their is not communication you always have to request an update and my son was bored with the work. I was unhappy for many reason, but next yr he is going to a magnet school that rates 3 points better. I was happier with Pre-School Learning Center and their curr.

Trinity is an excellent school. My daughter recently graduated and is on her way to I.E.Y.M.S. She graduated as a kal student and I am greatful she was accepted to that program. Trinity helped daughter move to the higher lever. My daughter really enjoyed and learned alot from Trinity. The teachers and staff are supportive and understand if you are going through financial problems or any problems at all. Trinity is a great school and I highly recommend it!

My daughter joined Trinity in 2007 and this is her 2nd year. She loves it and so do I. The teachers go above and beyond for the students and as a parent, I truly appreciate that.

My daughter went here in the kindergarten. At the end of the year, she came home and read a book to me. I was completely taken aback and unfortunately we moved out of that area and she had to switch schools. I am dissatisfied with her current school and will be moving back to the Trinity school area so that she can get back to where she was. This school is New York's best kept secret and I am sorry that all the other schools in town don't seem to hold a candle to this on. Can't wait until the '07-'08 school year to begin.

I have really enjoyed the time that the staff has taken to assist me with finding the best programs for my child, they have a well rounded program, and the afterschool program is great.

Trinity Elementary School is a great school. I am a former student of Trinity. I am in the 7th grade at I.E.Y.M.S. and my little sister is in 3rd grade and my lil brother is in kindergarten. Trinity is a school that tries their best to provide the learning needs to every child in that school. They do it very well. The teacher's help out the students anyway they can. Trinity's excellent.
