I will never forget my Beacon teachers - they are all kind, challenging, and inspiring. I am now at a very rigorous university and feel over-prepared for the work. Students at Beacon are some of the luckiest in the country.

Beacon nurtures and celebrates the individual for their unique gifts and personalities. Not just grades, not just sports, but for being kind, and curious, and the kind of person who would walk up to you your first day at school and ask you to sit with his crowd at lunch.

I started my counseling career at Beacon and I was in awe every day of the extraordinary collaboration between passionate faculty and eager, open-minded, talented students. It's an extraordinary place to learn!

Beacon High School is the only school my son has never complained about going to ... he gets up every day at 6 AM and spends an hour each way on the train to get there and back and after 4 years he still LOVES THE PLACE TO PIECES. Bless Beacon for creating an atmosphere where every teenager can be himself and live up to his potential and fit in, regardless of whether he is a nerd, a jock, an artist, a kid with big dreams or just a kid who wants friends and meaningful classes in a caring environment!

The teachers are remarkable: they engage the kids, teach them in the context of the real world, and have very high standards. My 11th Grade son loves it, and so do I.

Beacon is run like a private school. They have a challenging curriculum which is taught by a bright, young, innovative and demanding faculty. Truly inspiring to the students who go there. I am so grateful that our daughter has the priviledge of attending this excellent school.

Beacon is great for a lot of reasons. A couple of my favorites: it teaches our kids HOW to think, not WHAT to think; and it values creativity and concern for the world we live in.

Outstanding school that through challenging assignments creates an environment to encourage students to think for themselves. Succeeding while at Beacon gives the students a great advantage for the next stage of their education. Diversity, terrific faculty, creativity, and level of excellence = Beacon!
