This school is absolutely the best of the best! My daughter is in the middle school and she's surrounded by excellent teachers and very motivated, focused and talented students. On top of their excellent core curriculum, it's a pleasant surprise that they have amazing art, music, theatre and sports program.

Excellent education, teachers, sports, music, art, etc. Definitely for smart kids who are hardworking, with the maturity and the willingness to do a lot of homework. We wish we had known then that the grades from the regents subjects and foreign language go on the permanent transcript for college, so my daughter and some of her friends are still trying to make up for their less than stellar Nest classroom grades as they enter senior year, despite top regents and test scores.

I have been a parent at NEST+M since the first day they opened their doors. Both my son and my daughter have had an amazing educational experience at NEST+M. The teachers really care about their students and their dedication is apparent in the positive educational experience each child receives. The PTA is a powerful entity in the school. The PTA has spearheaded many initiatives at NEST+m. They welcome volunteers with open arms and the everyone works together for the better of the school. The Adminstration works closely with the PTA and that shows in the sucess of NEST+M. I would also like to applaud the efforts of each and every person who works at NEST+M in saying without all of you NEST+M would not be the successful and beautiful school it is today. I would be remiss if I didnt take a moment to mention that it has been my experience that NEST+M has by far the most helpful and gracious office staff! Keep up the great work NEST+M!

My daughter has been going to Nest for three years. She's in 2nd grade and we have had an incredible experience with this school. So far my daughter has had three amazing teachers and is flourishing in a safe and joyful environment where she is taught to think critically and developing high standards for her classwork. The communication with the school is excellent and the PTA is very involved and welcoming to all. The best thing about the school is the incredible diversity. There are literally children from every culture and community you can imagine at this school.

I've been a student in NEST for quite some time over 6 years...For me it was not only challenging but allowed me to think for myself. I notice and see my advantage over new students coming in that I am already ahead in courses and pretty much a few requirements left for an advanced diploma in 10th grade ( now 2012) The staff is a blast to work with as I organized an entire club for the school working with the city in less than a day. Classes have around 20 students, and for me are all mixed race, age and gender. Most students are all willing to try and learn, students in class are focused and participating ( even cool kids :) They offer a wide variety of sports and activities that we often stay on the top of city-wide...like in track, baseball...ect Teachers are persistant, they are willing to help you learn and succeed, I have a teacher willing to stay hours everyday almost to help even 1 student, and more cases like that. So I really love NEST, it is a safe and comfortable environment that allows students to work independently and together as well. thanks NEST!

We absolutely love NEST. We drive our kids in from Staten Island every morning so that they can get a quality education from teachers who truly care about kids. As a past educator myself I have witnessed teachers that are there just for the paycheck and the summer's off but at NEST they go the extra mile to allow our kids to be among the best of the best.

We were torn because we have an older child at another public school, but NEST+m is amazing. the children learn at a very accelerated pace, but they are up for it. you will be shocked to see what your K child is capable of learning. the school is rigid, but that's what kind of parent i am anyway.

The education that the kids are receiving is exceptional. The teachers are wonderful and the children adore them. Since this is a school for gifted and talented children, the children are learning at a much faster pace than other schools. We are extremely happy with the education that our daughter is receiving at NEST+m.

This is an excellent school and we have had no complaints in 2 years there. I could not imagine a better public education.
