The Gateway School is an extremely well regarded elementary/middle school for highly intelligent children with learning disabilities. The school is at the cutting-edge of special education academia in the United States. Gateway s programs are quite literally life changing in so much as they enable students to overcome learing difficulties and, ultimately, succeed and excel in mainstream school environments. Gateway s students are at risk children who, in the absence of Gateway s special programs, might fail or be unable to fully achieve their potential. In contrast, with Gateway s help, these children typically later move to competitive mainstream on-going schools and develop into highly successful and happy adults. Gateway assists students and families of all socio-economic backgrounds. Further, through its community outreach programs, Gateway impacts the lives of students, teachers, and special education professionals well beyond Gateway s walls. It is a truly remarkable institution!
