A parent to a middle school child that just started the sixth grade at the Opportunity Charter School! My son seems to be adjusting quite well and the support from the teachers, staff and the parent corrdinators' is truly a wonderful experience. I really look forward to my son going from sixth to the twelve grade!!

After wasting several months at this school, we've decided to take our child out because of the false picture they give parents. The mission of the school is worthy of praise, but the teachers do not follow through. They praise a child for doing the basic - arriving on time, being in uniform, and not getting into fights. However, this is what is expected of our child. We praise our child when they go beyond the expectation. They also don't calculate incomplete, late or work that is not handed in. Therefore, our child received honors when in fact our child should have been failing. This school has many gifted teachers and other supportive personnel, but they do not have strong leadership AT ALL.
