My son is in pre-k and we are thrilled with the education. Holy Name is a great community and with Father Jim as the new administrator, we know the school and parish are destined for even greater success. It's so hard to find the right school in Park Slope...either too expensive, too crowded, or you don't even get in! Some public schools have great reputations, but they are soooo crowded and many people without siblings have been turned away. Our son is thriving in this nurturing and loving environment. All the teachers and parents are very involved. The academic expectations are high, and there is little tolerance for bad behavior...which is especially important these days with so much bullying elsewhere.

I found this school by accident and am amazed. The education is excellent, the teachers very caring and nurturing and with new leadership the sky is the limit. The call themselves the best kept secret in Brooklyn. Well I hope the secret gets out. State of the art computer lab is a great addition. I recommend you check it out.

My daughter is finishing up 1st grade at Holy Name. I'm so glad that I found this school. The staff, as well as other parents, are very helpful. My daughter loves this school very much and she's doing well.

My daughter started Holy Name School in the 3rd grade and is now in 5th grade. She really likes the school, is learning many subjects, and has the opportunity to live the Catholic faith without pressure. She likes and participates in the sports (open to everyone) church activities, and dance class. Holy Name is a great school for everyone with a diverse student body and the kids have many choices. The teachers are very good! The school is a real bargain.
