The school is small and close knit. The children are very aware of each other and develop a sense of belonging and exude compassion and empathy towards each other. I have seen all grades welcome the new 4th grade class each year with interest and warmth. First Fridays are a big deal in the school too.
There is a great focus on respect - the students respect for each other and their teachers, respect for art, respect for differences, all part of the curriculum and every school day from start to finish.
My son has had a fantastic experience at Ballet Tech and is hoping to continue through high school. At first, he was especially appreciative of how much ballet helped him excel in sports (he is now on 3 high level competitive teams in 3 different sports). Over the past few years, he has developed a true love for dance which has been remarkable to see. It is also very clear that the discipline of ballet has helped with his academics. The school's program is challenging and comprehensive with plenty of support when needed from the teachers and especially the excellent principal, Mr. O'Neill. We could not be happier with our experience with this tiny, warm, and wonderful school community.
this is the worst school ever. My daughter went to this school and when i put her in a prep school, she was failng. this school really needs to improve on academics. Im glad i got my daughter into a prep school earlly enough or she would have failed. This school is horrible.
