My child graduated on June 2015. The teachers are very nice, caring and understanding. Mr. Cruz, Ms. Javier and the parent coordinator are also very helpful. It's a great school academic wise and there are many fun activities for the children. It is also a very clean and well maintained school.
This school is awful! The principal, Mr Cruz, is extremely arrogant and rude. My daughter was bullied at PS 325 almost everyday and nothing was ever done. Once i went to the 33rd precinct to file a complaint because my daughter had been jumped (yes, JUMPED in 4th grade) and it turned out the juvenile truancy officer was Ms. Javier's brother and nothing was ever reported. A few good teachers have been noted, only to sadly see them GO within a couple of years.
With the exception of few the staff definitely seems like they hate working with children. I've worked with children in the past and found that it can be tough at times but if you don't like what you do for a living then change your profession..I did. The school is very unorganized. No one ever seems to answer the phone in the main office. You have to call the school for any information needed because flyers are rarely sent home (this is an inconvenience for any working parent) Afterschool ends at 5pm sharp which is tough if you're a working parent.
The school is HORRIBLE!!! The administration staff is very unprofessional, the only person in the staff that knows anything about anything is Ms. Aims. This school should be closed. HORRIBLE just HORRIBLE. There is fighting EVERY day and nothing is done about it.
I think that the school has improved since Mr. Cruz has taken over as Principle. The school is too hot in the winter&summer.Though the children need to be more controlled It has improved. The teachers are a great help and care about the children very much especially my childrens teachers like Mrs.Lledwell.
