Extremely rigid environment which leaves little room for independent thought and growth to develop honesty, integrity, and fairness.

This is an school is a failing school, the attendance rating is an A the academics is a D. The teachers are dedicated however the Principal Monica Khler is confrontational and combative she knows these new immigrant parents know nothing about NYC DOE and she takes advantage of that lack of knowledge. Six teachers left in 2014 because of the principals micro management among the staff, however Mr. Perez 8th grade math, Ms. Trujillo Guidance Counselor, Mr. Rodriguez 6th grade math, Ms. Klein 8th grade math, Mr. Tabares social studies, and AP Mr. Reyes are dedicated to the vision of supporting these new families and student to the country. the enrollment is down because parents are seeking alternatives in the neighborhood. The afterschool programs offers a structured programming and great clubs including soccer, Kaplan test prep, service learning and visual art. This school is in a shared space. This school has great potential however the principals her way or the highway gets in the way of growth and development , she also runs the SLT meetings as a dictator not a democracy.
