I think the school is great and the PTA tries hard to have meny wonderful actitivies. Overall, I wished the teachers were more involved in the PTA activities.

Teachers are very involved.

The teachers are very involved, the principal however is another story. Getting him to take action and respond in a timely manner requires perseverance and even then it is not guaranteed. The teachers do give a sound education and they have 1 computer for every 2 children in grades 4 and 5. They have a good music program, chorous and some after school workshops although these are few and you must apply quickly. Good after and before school child care program in the North Babylon district.

I think W.E. Deluca is a great school. I could not be happier with the principal, teachers, and staff. All their extra efforts show in the happiness of all the students.

About the tests

The results for English language arts and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles and the science results will be added when they are released in the Fall of 2013. The tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of New York.
