Albany Avenue Elementary School

My family loves this school. I have 2 kids, one in 1st grade and one in 5th grade in Albany Ave. I know my son will truly miss this school when he graduates in June. The PTA is second to none. They really care about the kids and have many planned activities and resources available. The music program is the best. My son made the all district band and they had their concert at the High School last week. We were all blown away with how good the elementary school kids were! Most of them have only been playing for 2 years and we couldn't believe how well they played! The band teacher is the best and a lot of the kids give up their recess time to practice their instruments in her room at lunch time.

I have had children in the school for over 10 years. The caliber of the teachers and administration is by far superior. The academics that are taught here, and the way the staff cares about each child, has prepared my children for anything they need to face in the future. I highly recommend this school and will miss it when my younger child finishes up. The music programs are unbelieveable. When you see a concert and realize these are children with little experience, you cannot believe it. The professionalism and quality of the concerts are wonderful. The PTA is one of the most dedicated I have seen or heard of. Their commitment to helping raise the quality of education coupled with the support from administration truly makes you feel that you have chosen the best place possible to begin your child's education.

I have been living in the Massapequa area now for almost 18 years & have had both of my daughters attend this school. We have nothing but great things to say about the school, teachers & it's leadership qualities. Your child can't go wrong at Albany Ave.

Outstanding! My son just finished fifth grade this year and he will truly miss all of his teachers. They all cared about their students very much.
