On 2011 state ELA and math scores Oysterponds is at least ten points ahead of every other elementary school on the North Fork making it without a doubt the best elementary school. Small class sizes (average 12 students), dedicated teachers and most recent Supt. have led to great improvements.

This is a Great School and the full credit belongs to the classroom teachers. They are the ones who teach our kids. There is also good help for kids who are in need of extra help. School needs more clubs and academic activities after school.

Looking forward to meeting our new Superintendent this fall(2004). Our school's nurse is the best, so is our Coach/PE teacher. Electing two new school board members that will hopefully shape things up!
