Over the last few years this school has taken a toll for the worst. It seems like just a few years ago when Richard Garret was in authority this was the place to be. Nowadays many people have had very unpleasant experiences at this school and that is because the students can be found very spoiled and mean which makes it very hard for just an average person to have his or her own group of friends when the school is very small and cliquey. The factually is very strict but not they way they should be strict. They do not seem to do anything when a student is being bullied or having trouble in fact most of the teachers here are more focused on moving to public school as soon as possible. The assistant principle Mr. Servidio cares more about seeing the students in uniform and forbidding them to drink from water bottles than focusing on more important things. You would think the athletics would be fair because it is such a small school but it is not. The teams should not have cuts in such a small school yet again have half the team not even get to play. I regret coming here and the worst part is as the tuition continues to rise we still lack useful things like air conditioning. I really hope changes are made so that students will stop having an unpleasant experience at this school.

School totally sucks! Being with a such a small student body a large group of your class is the "popular kids"(the ones who do the wrong things) and if you aren't in the clique you aren't accepted. Administration is oblivious to the things that go on in st doms. Teachers do not teach and it doesn't matter if they know you better if they don't teach. St doms is just like an ugly girl with a make up that makes her pretty, the school is great on the outside but horrible on the inside. Also the athletic programs are rigged, the kids who pay the most make the team. Worst decision of my life to ever go to this school.

My son is a sophomore and has never been happier-the best choice I have ever made as a parent-small caring environment that helps kids succeed-highly recommended

St.Dominic High School is a truly great college prep school. Students start and end the day in prayer, and are totally prepared for college. They are taught to compose college essays in their freshman year. The 2010 graduating class went on to the finest of Universities. The teacher student teacher ratio can not be compared with. Though very expensive, well worth the quality of education and technology in the classroom.

Did the full 4 years and graduated. I was an easy B to A student and I was not even close to be prepared for college. Yes the staff knows you personally, that doesn't mean they prepare you well.

Left 1 month into Soph year. Disasterous, devastating and a dream turned into a nightmare. Why? Bullying, teasing, name calling in halls and do-nothing administration. Spoiled, entitled kids who 'wannabe' tough. Every parent should do much research before. Sophomore year-miserable.

St. Dominic High School is an outstanding school. All the teachers know you at a personal level and they're always willing to help you. The atletic program is great becuase everyone gets a chance to play a sport. I love SDHS because I know that they're preparing me well for college.

Saint Dominic is a small High School that offered a very friendly and personal education to my son. While there he developed a strong sense of self worth and accomplishment I have to say he also grew to love history because of his teachers there

Profile Completeness

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.
