East Woods School is a wonderful place for children to learn and develop. My children have attended East Woods since Nursery class. Right from the start, I knew this was a warm and wonderful place to be. They have grown and matured into wonderful young people. East Woods reinforced all of the morals and values that we teach our children at home. They were encouraged to take risks and were academically challenged every step of the way. They were fully prepared for successful futures because of their amazing introduction to school life at East Woods.
East Woods has become a second home to my children. In addition to providing them a nuturing and caring environment, the teachers have taught my daughters to love school and to love learning. It is crucial for children to have positive experiences in their early years of education and East Woods has exceeded our expectations!
East Woods School has not been a positive experience for our family. We would not recommend this school.
East Woods is a wonderful, magical place where children the develop a remarkable enthusiasm for learning and life. The poise and friendly confidence exhibited by the students is immediately evident to any who visit, and says an awful lot about the program and the people there.
This has to be the top school on Long Island. The teachers and administration are highly professional yet caring. The secondary school acceptance rate is astounding. Small classes and individual attention as well
Our son just finished a year in pre-k at the East Woods School and could not have a had a more disappointing experience. There was a known "bully" in the class and yet none of the parents were notified. The head of the early childhood center would not even acknowledge that bullying can occur in even the youngest of children and focused their attention on "reforming" the bully instead of taking measures to protect the ones getting bullied. We pulled him out of school 2 weeks early before the end of the school year because of this and did not receive a single inquiry from the teachers or administration as to why our son was suddenly absent. The East Woods School failed us in so many ways. Be wary of this school as they do not make much effort to uphold their disciplinary guidelines as stated in their handbook.
There is simply no place like it. All my children have gone through East Woods School since nursery. One graduated and two are still there. East Woods was the best decision we ever made. Its challenging academics and nurturing environment create natural leaders with confidence and high self esteem. It's a wonderful environment and a magical childhood experience.
Amazing school. My daughter is in 2nd grade and absolutely loves this place! They truly focus on the whole child with emphasis on being a good person and contributor to society. The children leave East Woods with not only a strong academic base, but an equally strong moral and ethical foundation as well.
Great school two of my kids go here they bothe love it.
