Everyone cares about the students-from the teachers to the principal to everyone in between!

I have three children currently in Canaan. I have found the teachers overwhelmingly supportive and accessible. I also understand that every parent does have different opinions. They have a great culture that supports education on every level. Which includes community service and personal responsibility. But, there is always room for improvement.

I feel that the school is very good for most students. The reason why I say most, is because if a child is a good student and can work independently, they will do great. My daughter just graduated from Canaan in June. School is very easy for her. She gets good grades. My one son, is having a lot of difficulty. I have been trying to get paperwork from the District to have him tested so he could receive extra help. This has been going on since March. He is struggling and his self-confidence levels keep dropping. I have written a letter to his current teacher explaining the situation. I feel confident that his teacher this year will make every effort needed. My youngest son started Kindergarten. I am very excited that they are implementing a new reading program. His class is the first to test it and is seems great.
