Evans Park School is lucky to have an experienced principal who cares about children and understands how to be an effective leader. The teachers are in need of professional development regarding differentied instruction and how to vary their teaching style to address the needs of all learners. Teachers might also improve the home-school connection if they geniunely expressed an interest in listening to parents and inviting them into the classroom. This principal is doing a wonderful job despite working with a staff that doesn't seem to express a 21st century approach to teaching.
This is absolutely the best elementary school in Pearl River. I had just transferred my child from Franklin to Evans and she is doing so much better with her grades and the teachers and students are so much helpful and nicer, and the principal is constantly involved with the children.
