I recently graduate from Pine Bush, and even though we all say we can't wait to leave and go away, I miss it. There's such a sense of community in the town and a majority of the teachers love their jobs. Of course there are teachers who shouldn't be in the profession, but at PBHS, most of the teachers should be. Pine Bush is a community town and I am so proud of it and to say this is my hometown.

This school, while it has it's downfalls as all schools do, has absolutely amazing programs. We have recently started summer programs in which the students can earn college credits, as well as some high school credits, during the summer. The Science Academy stays at the SUNY Cortland campus in the Adirondacks for a week and learn about the ecosystem and biology of the organisms in the area. The Law and Leadership Academy is trained by a military drill Sergeant for a few weeks while also completing book work. The list goes on. As a student I have encountered, in the staff particularly, some of the best people I feel I will ever encounter in my life. It is truly a wonderful school!

PBHS is crowded now, but that will ease as this year's freshmen are the largest cohort in the pipeline. Staff is effective with disruptors. Tutoring is available. Regents classes have repeaters, so that gives freshman food for thought. Quality of teaching varies; tutor may be necessary. Plan on paying for some classes - PBHS is pushing dual enrollment. Music and drama are great. Lots of support for LD. Grading system needs changed to something that weighs academics more than behavior.

Im a freshman this year at pbhs (go bushmen!!) .. soon to be a sophomore. Mostly, what i see in pbhs is diversity (black/white/hispanic.) and this school is very crowded.. almost impossible to walk through the halls. If i had to change one thing about this school it would be the attitudes of the teachers.

Love PBH - two sons have graduated and are now onto college. Care and attention was given them by all guidance, educators and principles alike! Kudos to PBH - love that baseball team, music and theatre programs as well!

I am a current student at Pine Bush High School and i would just like to say that overall Pine Bush is a fun enviornment. However, the administration is terrible. They focus on other things then what should be focused on. I have witnessed numerous amounts of drug deals and know numerous amounts of kids who deal and abuse drugs. I feel that most of the teachers and admin. know what is going on but feel its too much to deal with and they want to get all of the littler stuff out of the way. Overall, most of the teachers i have had are pretty good. Some just want to teach and send you out and have no care in the world what you do. This year we have finally gotten back our pep rally & parade, but i think the school needs to focus on what is really significant.

I graduated from PBHS in 2005 and went on to an University. PBHS treated me well and I liked many of my teachers. The IB program is a highly valuable program for Pine Bush. One that is challenging and mind opening. I was involved in the IB program for Junior and Senior year and I don't think I have ever worked harder in my life. Because of the strength I gained in PBHS through the IB program, I can thoroughly say that I can face any amount of work unfazed.
