I send my 3 children to school there. This is there second year. I have a elementary, middle, and high school student. I do agree there is confusion and teachers get back to you 3-4 days later but, its a great school. My two daughters are doing great. They have nice friends and they come from different back grounds. That's part of life. My son loves the elementary. He does get a lot of homework but, it will pay off in the end. My Oldest daughter has been able to witness to some of her friends that are not quite as far in there walk with the LORD. They ask her questions about her faith. My middle school student never was excepted at her other school and now she fits in with her new friends. The school could use some extra attention in the Math department in the high school. They have teachers that know how to do Math but they don't know how to teach it. They have been teaching too long and think everyone should know how to do it. Overall the school has been good for my children. Coram Deo
I sent my child because I wanted the spiritual aspect, but I'm very disappointed in the school. Communication is very difficult, the teachers just don't get back to you. The school seems very disorganized, always losing paperwork (& tests!) There is definitely favoritism, some kids get detentions for the same offense another will not. The language & behavior of the kids doesn't reflect the Christlike standard the school tries to instill. The facility is not the greatest & the lunch food is all microwave trash(except one day a week when parents prepare) Academics are tough & average kids seem not to be able to keep up.All in all, my child' experience hasn't been good. We're looking into another school.
Great school... it's funny reading some of the negative comments... Chapel Field is far from perfect, but they strive to be the best than they can be and I appreciate all that they do for my students. The Principal and Vice Principal (who are not related at all unlike one of the previous reviews stated) make a good pair as they both have their own ways with administration. I just thank God for schools like this one.
Chapel Field is the best school i've ever attended. The teachers are great and i learn alot. I've also made amazing friends and my walk with God has deffinitly inmproved since i have started attending Chapel Field. There is no better school to be at than this one.
My daughter has gain confidence since attending Chapel Field Christian School. This will be her 3rd year. She learned so much about God's love and accepted the Lord as her Savior. Growing up in a christian home and attending Chapel Field allowed her to always put God first in her life.
some pros: >as a student i appreciate the Godly environment this school has provided for me. >now im not the brightest bulb in the bunch (i would consider my grades slightly above average) but the academics are challenging. >they will prepare you for the road ahead. >because its a small school you know everyone; feels like a big family. some cons: >sports are a major focus. (those on varsity are favored over jv or modified by the principal) >you can get in trouble for the smallest of things (and even if it wasnt intentional or a huge misunderstanding forget about defending yourself. the teachers/principal wont listen. as a student i dont feel trusted) >whatever you send the school (especially if its an important document) make a copy of it to keep for yourself (ex: physicals are constantly lost which will result in having to schedule another.)
8/10 for academics (not the best), 10/10 for sports, 9/10 for discipline (kids are suspended for little things and they can't make up any missed homework and test on that day), 8/10 admin, 8/10 for principal/asst principal (father and son), no coordination, one says no and one says yes - don't waste your money!
Thank you Chapel Field for making my daughter feel so loved ,safe and accepted. This is her first year and all I can say is she is happy there and so are we.. Keep up the great work of the Lord!! a wonderful, godlike atmosphere where there is structure ,(rules), academics, sports, music but most of all the true sense of being a 'family'!! may God continue to bless you all for all your kind deeds.I would like to address those that put such negative and unfair reviews. You tell me, what type of person would willingly develop 100 acres of his own land to build a school worshiping God?????? He is called an 'angel'!!!!! :) amen ...
As a parent, the discipline standards are high, but need to be -to prepare students to be able to function on their own. This preparation motivates students to be able to function on their own, without holding their hands or coddling them to make them 'feel good' because it's what the parents want. Holding them accountable now, only prepares them for college and the workforce. I have seen public school students who 'scrape by' and behave disrespectfully towards authority figures. They are the ones who drop out of college or wind up on the unemployment lines. Sports are important -yes, but so is team building, and interacting with other people under differing conditions. Christian principles are enforced throughout the program. The comments about the leadership of the school are most likely made by the parents of those students who have been dismissed due to disciplinary actions. My kids love the school.
I have 4 children at Chapel Field. I am delighted with the curriculum and environment. Two of my students are gifted and CF has challenged them. Another has some difficulties and the school has been able to help him be his best. Most of all, I am grateful for the 'standards based' environment. I hear complaints from students that things are too strict, but it simply means their poor behavior won't be tolerated. These are usually kids who are used to getiing away with things. Coach, the president, is not the 'owner,' but as founder he has poured a great deal of himself into this school for the love of the kids. I have never felt the school was focused on money - nobody's getting rich - but it takes a lot to run a school without state money. KUDOS! to CF all grade levels.
