Pittsford Sutherland is one of the best schools. The only reason why you should be bored and unnoticed, is if you sit around and do nothing. There are plenty of oppurtunities to get involved through extra-curriculars and sports. Watching the sports games are very exciting and competitive. The Sutherland Mendon Rivalry makes the games even more exciting. Overall a great school.

I am unsatisfied by the quality of teachers at Sutherland, and very surprised by their indifference to students in need. I get no sense that the teachers want to get to know you in any way, and the classes are dull and most use time inefficiently. There are distinct social classes, but the unhelpful teachers are the biggest drawback.

A superior education. Can be a bit homogenous both ethnically and economically, which is a disadvantage. However, it remains an excellent place to recieve an education and prepare for the university.

I've had 1 daughter graduate and another daughter will graduate in 2008. Both kids have generally been quite bored by school studies with the exception of the arts department (and Mr. Menchel). There's an overall lack of attention for the children. One daughter went three failed tests and missed 7 out of nine assignments before we the parents were informed. This is even after I asked the teacher(s) to inform me of any behavior that showed slippage in work effort. I know this school is rated hightly, but in my mind, it's well overrated.

Pittsford schools are highly rated, but lack any real substance. I was invoved in so many extracurricular activites, my time could have been spent in better ways! The top 1% were the ones treated well. I give this school low ratings across the board because if faculty is uncaring.
