Totally disappointing school in all aspects ( teachers, principal, staff, building and curriculum).

Excellent child-centered school! Dedicated professionals with a wide repetoire of strategies to meet the individual needs of students. Wonderful principal who leads by example! High level of parental involvement. Many extra-curricular opportunities for students. Small class sizes with emphasis on hands-on learning. Classrooms are equiped with the latest technology and children have access to a state of the art computer lab and library media center. The school climate is warm and inviting. Students, staff and parents feel that they are all an important part of the Manorhaven 'family.' This is a phenomenal elementary school. Art, music, and sports programs are abundant and top notch. Enrichment opportunities are available for each student. School has ESL, special education services, math resource teachers and a gifted and talented program which help students flourish.

I have had 2 boys complete grades k-5 at Manorhaven and now have a 3rd boy in 1st grade. My experience has been completely positive. The teachers are caring and concerned. They have received a wonderful education.

My son attended this school in 2003/04 as a first grader. We were less than satisfied with the school's curriculum and academic offering. My son transferred from a very good school - due to relocation - and we were deeply disappointed by this school. The offering of extracurricular activities is limited at best. Communication between the school, teachers and parents is not satisfactory, either. We moved our son to a private school after his first - and only - year here.

My Daughter has attended Kindergarten thru 3rd grade so far and has had excellent teachers each year. The teachers have all been creative, up to date on the latest teaching techniques, and attentive to the differing needs/levels of the students. The district is dealing w/budget issues and this year it has affected class size (increasing) and the number of after school activities (decreasing). Parent involvement is relatively high.
