Excellent School - A very unique small school in today's day and age. The children who attend the school throughout their elementary education go on to do very well at the higher levels. With the small population, the State test scores can sometimes be skewed by a single poor performance. The 2009 results just released indicate that 96% excelled making the school one of the top performers in New York State. The school also has a very active PTO and extracurricular activities are available. The school is committed to keeping up with technological advancements and each child in the older grades has a computer available to work on and a smartboard is now available. The Putnam Founders Organization works closely with the school and provides financial support to all student residents moving on to college. This year over $17,000 was provided to College bound students from the perpetual trust.
