P.S. 18 Winchester

The school is very clean and I feel my kids are safe there. The staff and teachers work very hard to make it a great learning environment for my kids and I am very pleased overall. My son is in 1st grade his teacher is very through, she checks HW everyday & requires parents to sign off on the HW. I gotta say that putting my name on the HW makes me review HW more carefully. She also gives him the help he needs in extended day. He has significantly improved his reading skills and I am happy about that. The only issue I have with the school is that the class sizes are way too big, my daughter is in 4th grade and she has 31 kids in her class with no teacher helper. I just think that's way too much and there should be more of a push to reduce class size.

My daughter loves to go to her school. The teachers are too good. So are the other staff members. Ms. Bell my daughter's pre-k teacher is wonderful and my daughter mariya loves her..

It is recognized as one of the best school in District 26. The Principal (Ms.Joy Hammer) and teachers are very friendly. They take care of students very well. It also has very good and active PTA team. Unfortunately, I could not be a part of PTA.

The learning experience that my children have acquired from P.S. 18 is wonderful. The teachers are caring, as well as the principal and other staff. They really look out for the children.
