An excellent school with a focus on the arts with an outstanding after-school program (Wingspan). The school is relatively small and many children and families know each other. While the school admissions is open to the district, the vast majority of children are from the neighborhood.

The Academy of Excellence through the Arts, PS 303 is a very close knit school that nurtures and supports the children as they become well rounded students. With only two classes per grade, all of the students and teachers know each other which lends itself to a great community atmosphere. The student/teacher ratio is way better than many of the schools in the area. The school does lack a library or gym, but it is made up for by the programs and curriculum it provides. My children love attending the school and I would recommend it to anyone who asks.

The Academy of Excellence through the Arts, PS 303 is a wonderful experience that every child should have the chance to receive. From the loving staff to the unique and excellent programs offered there contribute to making this a top notch school. My older daughter started in Pre-K the first year they opened. She graduated last June,2013. She misses it tremendously. She enjoyed each and every day of her school days there. Luckily, I have a second daughter there in Kindergarten who wakes up and can't wait to see her teacher everyday. I only wish it went thru to HS.

This is a great school for my child. The teachers are very professional and are easy to talk with. Parents are encouraged to volunteer and participate, either on school projects, trips, or even volunteer during the lunch time. The school demands high standards from the children, and the children are able to provide this. I'm very glad my first born has been fortunate enough to attend PS 303, and I'm hopeful that my child's sibling will be able to attend.

AEA does an excellent job of using it's resources to bringing students to where they need to be for the third grade ELA/Math Test. Earning the top score in the district in previous years. Reading, writing and math starts in Pre-K here. If your child lags behind in any of these subjects s/he will receive extra help afterschool beginning in Kindergarten. The kids have a rotation of art, drama and other electives (cooking, video star..etc) added to their schedules through the year and starting in the first grade they'll have the experience of putting on a play. All the teachers at PS 303 work hard to get results. Two recommendations I would make for this school. First is that they allow the Pre-K students to have more scheduled free play time and Second, to allocate some resources towards those students who are ahead of the curve.

Excellent school with caring educators that go above and beyond to see their students excel in all areas. The children love this school because of the many wonderful events and activities they put together. There are productions they put together where the kids partake in reading lines and there's always something exciting going on. In short, if you want to see your child excel and reach their full potential then this is the school to send them to because this school takes their students success very seriously and they work hard to achieve success!

We are proud to be part of P.S 303 family. Our kids are getting a great education from such dedicated teachers who challenges them to learn and succeed. I especially love the attention and caring the school gives the students. My kids are very happy there. I wish they could stay there until 5th grade. We feel so fortunate that our kids are able to attend this special school. Mrs. Leto cares so much about the school that she's always thinking ahead of how to make it better. That is why there is such support from parents. We see that she wants what's best for the school and our children. We love P.S 303!!!!!

As a parent we always want the best school for our kids. I feel blessed and fortunate that both of my kids were part of this amazing school that offers strong academics and nurturing, warm environment. My daughter has graduated from this school two years ago and my son will be graduating this year. We will miss this school and all the staff dearly.

This is a special school. As an educator, this school excels in so many ways. The teachers that my son has had for kindergarten and 1st grade both have been stellar. The school has this unique balance of keeping students challenged and engaged in learning but doing so in a caring and thoughtful way. The school has become our second family--my son knows all the children, teachers and staff by name due to not only it's small size but because of how engaging and involved the 303 team is at the school. We literally won the lottery when got our spot and so thankful that our son will have strong educational foundation and diverse interests due to the drama, arts, and music incorporated into the experience.

AEA is a very special school and one that I am thrilled beyond words that my daughter has an opportunity to attend. The teachers and staff are nurturing and caring. The Principal and Assistant Principal genuinely care about each and every child and there is a great balance between academics and fun. When I asked my daughter the other day how much she likes kindergarten at AEA, she told me she loves it! As parents, what more could we ask for...

My child is a first grade student at AEA. She has been there since prekindergarten. Her teacher Mr. Dejesus was the perfect teacher to prepare her for school. He was enthusiastic and great. He always listened to concerns. Her kindergarten teacher Mr. Burgos really helped her reading and made it fun. This year her comment about Ms. Bates was "I like her because she makes writing fun and she makes us use creativity." My daughter participated in a play and I was impressed with all the work the students and staff did. Ms. Leto does listen to concerns and Ms. Gallo is always there to help. The PTA and school website always keeps us abreast of what is going on. I am so happy that my daughter is receiving an exemplary education. She also loves her new drama teacher. First grade has been a great year. Thank you AEA!

PS 303, A.E.A is a wonderful school. I can not say enough great things about it. My daughter is getting a very well rounded education, from reading and writing, a science enrichment club which she loves, dramatic and fine arts, and Singapore math. 303 is a warm and nurturing environment that we are very fortunate to have the opportunity to take advantage of.

I very highly recommend PS 303. The small size and limited amount of students allow for additional attention for each child. Additionally, the focus on learning through the Arts contributes to a fun learning environment.

We are lucky that our daughter got lottery to pre-k in this school. Her teachers are wonderful, very professional and caring. Everyone working in this school is very warm and devoting and know what they are doing. The school's facility is very new, clean and organized. It has very warm ans cheerful environment. Every kids here are happy to be at school. Principal - Ms. Leto is very profesional and very clear about the direction to lead the school to. She is very caring to all the sturdents, knows every students by name. Stuffs at school are also very caring profesional. My daughter is very happy in this school and looking forward to go to school everyday. We are glad that she will be continue in kindergarten here next year. (Our 2nd child will have sibling priority to gp to this school too.) This is a wonderful small public school that has private schoo feels. The class program is very advance, compareable to those of G&T if not better. PTA here is cooperating nicely. It would be hard to find any school in NYC to have such a nice environment as this one. We visited a few schools and prefer this small school over many top schools in Manhattan or even any borough. Love this school!

AEA303 has provided my son an excellent education over the last 3 years. He is currently in the 1st grade and I am thrilled with the education he has received thus far. An important part of the education is art and theater based which my son loves. They put on an impressive 1st grade production of Henkesville which was outstanding. This is a unique school that offers an enriching enviroment for early education.

It's a fantastic school for my child with a healthy focus on all of the pre-school topics I want my child taught about. The teachers are also warm yet professional with special regards going to the Principle Ms. Leto. She has a tough demeanor yet engages all of the students with the kind of firm gentle tone I appreciate as a parent. Very much a recommended school.

My daughter is one of the lucky ones who got in this school and when I say lucky I mean really lucky the school has all the attributes that one would send a child to a private school for its a new school with new infrastructure the school is only till third grade so there is very little chance of your child being bullied in school everyone including the principal knows each child by their first name the principal is very involved with school activities and takes great care to run the school efficiently all kids are bright because the teachers work hard and parents are also very active there is lot of emphasis on art and other extra curricular activity also the school has one of the best afterschool programs now my daughter is in Kindergarten and she is member of an enrichment club I think PS 303 is the best school in Queens
