Some are excellent, some others I have no idea why they are teachers. The love of some of these teachers for children is not there, I don't know if it has to do with the "common core" pressure but the kids are suffering the consequences.
They are not honest! 99% of the times they make hispanic kids get into after school programs they do not need, they also want hispanic kids to repeat grades just because they receive extra funds for minorities!
I've been part of this school for over 15 yrs. The new administration; Steppel has taken a once well known school to the dumps. There is no after school activities, Arts - and now they even cut down on the math for 2nd graders cause the math teacher is now the gym teacher. Ms. Steppel over steps her boundaries at the PTA meetings, never leaving and not allowing parents to really say what they want.
