I have two children- one is currently a Red Hook alumnus in college, and the other is a first grader at Mill Road. I have been a parent in this district for 16 years. It is a wonderful community of teachers and staff that are committed to do their utmost best for the students. There is no 'perfect' school-public or private. Public schools have so much that they are up against, and in Red Hook, no matter if it is a union issue or a budget issue- the teachers do not bring it to the classroom. They have demonstrated to me time and time again that they go above and beyond despite whatever hurdles may be there. They are friendly caring people- part of the 'Village' that helped raise one child of mine and now the other.
