York Central Elementary School

I am interested in the concern with the comment about the administration's 'personal values.' I feel that the elementary school has a good reputation and is moving in a very positive direction. The character education initiated is outstanding as well as the learning improvements. Isn't this the reflection of good administration at the school?

I feel that some sports are very good primarily girls soccer. I have a fourth and sixth grader and all of there teachers have been wonderful. I do have a concerns about our administration there own personal values have little to be desired and I wonder how they can be good role models for these young children. When we moved here in 1995 it was the district to move to now I would say I would consider moving out of. There are code of conduct rules to be followed for instance dress codes that are enforced on some kids but not on most. I am personally very disappointed in this school system. I have one child in sports and on highest honors and the other in sports and high honors and very concerned for there futures if we stay here.

This is the first year here at York Central for my little 3rd grader. He enjoys this school immensely and looks forward to school everyday. His teachers make the days interesting with a merit system and him and his classmates look forward to being the best students of the day to get a treat from the good behavior goodie bag. The school is also on a A - F day schedule. Music, library, (2)ym, swimming, art,. Always a new day there.
