Its non-academic programs are few to none. Also, the school utilizes the services of BOCES and because it has to pay for these services they tend to purchase federally mandated services. As a result teachers are not receiving enough of the professional development assistance that they need. Out of a student body of 563 students 99 were failing 2 or more classes. Parent involvement is minimal as you can see from the number of reviews you have here. Although BOD are open to the public, attendees are mostly people who have been invited.

The quality of academic programs is great. The community and school itself is small, so there is a lot of interaction with student, teacher and parent. There are many programs that can help a student if they do not grasp or comprhend a subject, and very good test preparation. Sports, music, art, out of school activities, such as The Zone, are in great availability, and some students are in more than one sport. Parent involvement is good, althoughh there should be more events other than games, concerts, and fundraisers for parents to get involved. Teachers put in great efforts and have good relationships with the students. Most students are respectful and well-behaved.

About the tests


In 2012-2013 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, Earth science and physics. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.

In 2012-2013 New York used the New York State Regents Examinations to test high school students in English, math, global history and geography, US history and government, living environment, chemistry, Earth science and physics. Students must take at least five Regents Exams in order to graduate. Scores of 65 and above are passing; scores of 55 and above earn credit toward a local diploma (with the approval of the local board of education). The goal is for all students to pass the tests.
