Grover Cleveland is an average high school when it comes to education. I think the city can do more to be involved with the quality of teachers it hires plus the school lacks funding.

Grover Cleveland can provide amazing opportunities for students. The school is a safe place for all students. Since the school requires students to go through metal detectors before entering, everyone feels safer and can be assured that they will not be assaulted with any weapons. When I was attending GC I was enrolled in the math and science program. The school offers many advanced classes and AP courses for students who qualify. Personally, I benefit from all these courses and with the help of D. Scarola (Principal) and Iris Rosario (Guidance counselor) I was able to graduate in 3 years and was accepted to numerous universities. D. Scarola is an amazing principal who does everything in his power to make GC the best it can be. He is an amazing person who has helped me numerous times. I am thankful for everything he has done for me and GC.

I'm a teacher at Grover Cleveland H.S. and I love it my eperience here. Most of the parents and students here certainly said it correctly on this site, that because of the size of our school, students will learn and get a great education 'if they want to'. Most students here are enrolled to do just that, and will be rewarded by their teachers and future colleges. The few that are only here for a few periods and later cut, will only regret it in the future.

My daughter is graduating in June and I couldn't be happier. I know she has received a very good education, in fact attending college with full scholarship. I know when I look at her SAT scores compared to the rest of the country - she definitely got a good education. Her lowest score was in the 87th percentile. Grover Cleveland with there honors classes and AP classes helped her get there. For the student that indicating its a prison - the school is safe. Cutting is minimal, and if you dont belong, you can't get in. Those arrested outside the school were doing something they shouldn't be doing. Students can succeed at Grover Cleveland if they want to, they will fail just as easily if they choose that route.

I graduated from Grover Cleveland High School, and this school is amazing! I am now attending university with a full scholarship! The school is nothing like what it's made out to be. The kids are for the most part, friendly. The teachers are also amazing and they give so much of their time and effor to help us with everything. I had an excellent college advisor, who helped me with the entire college process.
