Profile Completeness

INTERMEDIATE

Want to improve this school’s profile? You can!

All schools on GreatSchools begin with BASIC completeness, which includes important information like contact details and test scores. It’s up to the school community to take the next steps. As a parent or community member, you can share what you know with other families by writing a review or answering a few questions about what the school offers. As a school leader, you can upload photos, describe school programs, and more with an Official school profile.

The completeness meter moves to INTERMEDIATE, then ADVANCED, and finally HONOR ROLL as you complete the following: 10 or more reviews, at least 1 photo, and 9 program questions parents find helpful.

When my oldest daughter attened from Fall of 1993 to 1999, the teachers got her from being a difficult student (she had ADD) to being a good student. However, now, with my 11 year old in 5th grade there, things have changed a bit. When I tried to enlist the school's help with my daughter's attendance issues, I got as far as a few rounds of phone tag with the school psychologist and finally decided my time would be better spent trying to address the issue on my own. Also, how can they give my daughter "Honor Roll" and "High Honor Roll" status, then turn around and say she is not meeting the stanards for ELA and needs summer school? This seems to be a problem with atleast a few of the RCSD schools.

As a teacher new to the building half way through the year, I have been welcomed by all and made to feel like part of the staff. The teachers are all hard workers and looking out for the well being of their students. It has been a pleasure to work at #7 school.

I am a parent of several former School #7 students. This school has so many dedicated teachers who genuinely care about what they are doing. Mr. Moore, the principal has been a great leader for the school and as an African-American male, he is a role model for the children. For several years he has been doing a reading program and when the kids meet the goal set for the year, he has to spend a day on the roof.

Our students are imaginative individuals that love technology! We need to expose them to the same level of resources they have in other schools so that when they leave us they will be prepared to succeed in any environment anywhere. Our students and their families are very special!

Our basketball team won the state championship this year and that is due to the dedication of one of our teachers. One of our goals is to help build our children's self-esteem, how else will they learn to believe in themselves.

kids and teachers are awesome and they need a chance to be inspired. Teachers really care about our children in the inner city and go the extra miles on a daily baisis especially my friend, Roberta Gammons. She started a library in her classroom with her own books and many many donations from the community. She is an awesome speech pathologist and one of the most caring teachers I have ever met. School#7 you are blessed and this is your time to prosper.

I am a former parent of this school. Both of my kids went to this school and it was a great time. We loved the principal, the parent liaison, and the teachers. We moved out of state, that would be the only reason to leave the school. Keep it up..

I am a parent of a kindergartener, and I am very pleased with the quality of the teachers, and the administration. I plan on moving by the next school year but plan to stick around so my daughter can attend next year instead of switching schools.
