Flower City School is one of the best elementry schools in the city school district!!! The Principal Mrs. Rose works hard to bring funding,after school programing and enriched parent involvement activites. Also, if their is an issue Mrs. Rose returns calls within 24 hours. The school is clean and decorated for every season! Furthermore, the children are respectful and well behave!!!
i am a student at 54 and it is a great school we have computer classes, gym, music,art,writing,reading,math,social studies,ect.This school makes learning fun at times.
My 1st grader attends Flower City School and I cannot believe the comments. My daughter's learning seems to have stagnated since beginning here and I am not pleased at all. Additionally, she used to be excited about learning, but now she has become lazy about it and doesn't even want to try. She has not being challenged at all in her current environment at School #54.
Flower City School is a wonderful place for children to grow and learn. The 3-6 grade school is full of dedicated teachers who work with parents and the community to ensure the best education possible for their students. There is a high level of parental involvement. The school sponsors academic activities to help bond families and school personnel. The addition of performing arts to the school has helped enhance the creativity of those students looking to enter School of the Arts as well as improving Language Arts skills of students who normally have trouble. The school works closely with Nazereth College and the University of Rochester. Every year the third grade students recieve free teddy bears from a supporting company. The school has had end of the year culminating activities in Math and Social Studies as a way to bring parents, students, and teachers together to improve students' overall academic success.
Flower City School is the best place for your child's 3rd-6th grade education!!! The dedication of the teachers and the principal is only surpassed by their sense of community and love for children!
My nephew attended 54 from 3rd to 6th grade. The school and staff is excellent. The school is a community and is focused on learning. 54 is great!
This school is one of the best kept jewels in the city of Rochester NY. The principal was born to run a school. This school is a model that many schools should follow after.
