My daughter has attended Kindergarten- 2nd grade at Fyle. She has had outstanding teachers. We have been very impressed with how caring they are and the effort they put into teaching. Class sizes are small which allows them to spend quality time with each student. The one thing I wish would be different, is that they are not allowed to celebrate holidays in class (so none of those fun class parties we all grew up with). I imagine it is so no one feels discriminated against if they do not celebrate a particular holiday, but I think it is sad!

Fyle is a terrific school. Class sizes are small and children stay together for two years which has been very helpful with reducing transitions and encouraging positive friendships. The principal knows every child in the school by name. Parent group is very active and plans many family activities. I have found the staff and teachers to be caring and respectful of children's learning and social development.

Hello, I am very displeased at this point with the teaching staff. Why dont teachers make learning fun? The teachers need to be more creative and find better ways to inspire the students.

The staff at Fyle have done so much out of their way to help my special needs daughter, including home visits, prizes and gifts when she performs well, and especially all the work and attention they have given her this year. My daughter's academics have much improved since the beginning of the school year all because we moved to this area and started school at Fyle Elementary.

Most of the teachers are great and the class sizes are small. Typical children would most likely do well here, but if you have a child with ANY special needs you would be very lucky to get any help or supportive services they will only give you the bare minimum and you will have to fight to get what is needed. The principal and the staff are not helpful and very unprofessional, and cold when it comes to dealing with the parents. They basically have an us against them mentality which is in no way helpful to the child. So, if you have a child that will require any type of supportive services please look else ware or be prepared to fight for it every inch of the way.

There are some outstanding teachers on staff here but the principal sets a negative tone that stifles creative teaching, takes the focus off of individual student needs and on standardized tests, and puts people on edge.

It's so unfortunate that we have such a unfriendly unpersonable principal in such a school with outstanding teachers, students and a great sense of family. These teachers are just the very best!!

The communication between teachers and parents at this school is lacking. They are not very organized. I am very dissapointed with this school.

The teachers are very welcoming! They help every child in need 100%! The principle is not parent friendly.

Fyle Elementary School is organized in 'Families'. The students are grouped in 'cohorts' and they move through the grades as a group. The teachers do activities together which allows the students and teachers to get to know each other. The teachers also share students across grade levels to teach reading and/or math, science etc. Some teachers also 'loop' with their students to the next grade level.

New principal is just awful! Has turned this school into a robot factory of kids who aren't allowed to be kids and teachers who have no rewards to offer them. She has taken away recess and has treated parents with absolutely no respect. The family atmosphere is gone!

A real community feeling. My kids feel very comfortable with their school, teachers and staff.
