St. Boniface is a good school with faculty and staff who genuinely care about its students. My son has been a student since Pre-K3 and is now entering Kindergarten. My son is happy and well adjusted and excited about continuing his education with the school. I think its unfortunate that other's haven't had the positive experience that we've had but I strongly believe that what you put into your child and its school is equal to what you will get out of them. This is regardless of whether it's a city or suburban private, catholic or public school. As long as my child attends I expect the best out of him and the quality of education he recieves so I will continue to support them both the best I can.

St. Boniface school is an outstanding inner city school that embraces diversity based in the Catholic Christian tradition. All students, faculty, and families are treated with respect and dignity. The Wegmas contributions have shown that community involvement is key in helping educate the business-women and men of the future. The three and four year old program especially has benefited from the WIN experience and is wonderfully run by an amazing teacher. Any parent would be confident with their child's development both educationally and spiritually at St. Boniface School. Along with strong academics, St. Boniface offers classes in art and music as well as computer and library skills. All students, parents, and faculty know that St.Boniface is an amazing place to learn and is such a place because of the extraordinary love and leadership of the principal who tirelessly works to offer the best to the students.

St.Boniface is a very small school (150, K-6th), which is a huge advantage over the larger chaotic public schools in the area. St.Boniface lacks most of the features of non-Win(as in Wegman scholarship) city catholic schools (there is no band or orchestra, no CYO, no drama club, no student school newspaper etc.) The powers to be probably felt it was christian enough to donate the big brick building so that poor children do not have to attend the really scary Rochester city schools. Academics at St.Boniface are adequate, not inspired. There is a heavy emphasis on social sciences and english. Computer tech and mathematics instruction are weak and generally lag behind the public schools. The only extracurricular activities are chess club and sign language.

St.Boniface will present a completely different educational experience depending upon whether one supports the school and church (financially) or not. All attention, accolades, honors etc. are bestowed upon the select inner circle of those who support the attached church. Those who are 'Wegman's' scholarship recipients are thrown an occassional educational scrap, ignored. The school is housed in an old, depressing brick building with no grass or play area.
