St. John the Evangelist School 5

St. John the Evangelist school is like an extended family. It is a happy, safe place for children to learn and grow as people. There are dedicated teachers with many years of experience. Children are treated with respect and as individuals. Class room size is generally around 20-22. Academic programs are high quality and NYS test scores are high. Extra help is always available from the teachers. Parent involvement is high and parents advisory committee meet regularly with principal to discuss ways to improve school. Many school wide social events and fundraisers are available each year such as open house, movie nights, book fairs, field trips, auction, seabreeze picnic, end of year family picnic, etc.. A futures club is involved in trying to raise enrollment. Extra curricular include newspaper, sports (basketball & soccer teams), band, chorus. An excellent school overall. School motto is 'children love to learn and learn to love.'
