We moved to Rochester,NY end of 2009 last quarter and my daughter enrolled in Chestnut Ridge elementary school as KG. We have noticed a very good improvement in all aspects and also she is really excited to go to the school everyday. I would definitley need to comment about her class Teacher Mrs. Magiera for this as she is one of the best and great teacher we came across. My daughter feel proud of it and this has improved her a lot on reading, writing and other necessary skills Mrs Magiera trained. Mrs. Magiera is an amazing kindergarten teacher, we were fortunate to have our daughter to be in her class. Also all the other teachers and management are really good. Thank you, Bindu - Parent

My daughter is in her 2nd year at Chesnut Ridge. Last year was wonderful...Miss Mott was the best K teacher...This year is off to a great start with Mrs G for 1st grade. Wonderful caring teachers and staff.

My Son is ready to start his 2 year at Chestnut Ridge. We were very happy with the Staff support and quality of his education. He had a great teacher who would always stay in touch with us a update us if their were any issues. As far as TV watched in the classroom, my sons teacher used it only as a behavior reward that the children had to work VERY hard to receive. I think they watch maybe 2 or 3 movies the whole year so it was really a treat for the students. We are very happy over all with the school!

I feel that this school is one of the best! All 3 of my children went here. My middle child needed a lot of extra support and he received it. The teachers are just wonderful and so very helpful. My middle child has always been a challenge and the school did a great job with placement every year. I credit the teachers greatly for his progression and growth academically, socially and maturity. Mrs. Magiera is an amazing kindergarten teacher, we were fortunate to have both of our sons go to. the programs in place for the kids are abundant and teachers are very aware when a child needs a little extra help. I just cannot say enough good about this school!

Adequate quality; I've seen better. Kindergarden teacher wheels the TV into the classroom for watching more than I would like. School is next to a cemetary plot; not the most ideal location.

I have found that this school does not provide the proper tools for assisting students with disabilities.
