My three children have been trhought the Montessori School of Rochester (MSR)! They all attended the Toddler program (18 months- 3 years) and the Primary Program (3-6). My kids are totally different one from another but MSR was an excellent preschool for all of them. My two sons, very active, could learn how to concentrate and focus on a task, my daughter who was very shy, became extremely confident. MSR is the oldest Montessori school in the area and the teachers are Montessori trained. That makes a big difference in the way they teach the children. They teach them how to develop their attention to a task but also their self confidence. Academically the kids are taught to read, write and count (up to division) by the age of 6! I couldn't say enough good things about this school. They also have a great location and a great playground!

My children both love it here. Montessori education has given them both independence and confidence, which has helped them already in their lives outside of school.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.

Oops! We currently do not have any student information for this school. We rely on the state Department of Education, the National Center for Education Statistics (NCES), and in some cases school administrators such as registrars and principals for this data.
