I wen to this school years ago. I returned because my nephew was graduating. I have to say it is not the same school I attended. It's depressing what it has become. I would not send any child of mine to this school. If you check out the ones who are in favor of this school, read their grammar and English skills. That is what the school is producing now. I'm pretty sure they are shutting down the school for poor performance.
I went to this school. the school is great I had my children all went to this school two out of my six kids went and graud early I still have my last child here. he is in his senior year i still wish that I day channel become a zone school I think it would be a better school for local kids
im currently attending channel and i believe its a great school. It all depends on what you want to achieve in life. You will always have temptation to slack off but its always up to you to make the choice. They offer many opportunities and at the same time many risks, but that is life. To people who say that guards are rude, they are to rude kids. Every day the guards get disrespected by ungrateful kids ..wouldn't you do the same !!
as a alumni of beach channel this is a good school, eventhough they are a number of bad apples its pretty ok. they teachers look out for their students, because they want to see them go onto higher heights, but its up to the students to accept the help from them. i disagree with the person who said they don't care. u go into the school afraid not knowing what is going to happen that day.
ii love this school very much they have great teachers who work there n stuff!) and ii love my spanish n s.s teachers who ii have in class!)
i just moved and transfered from this school and yes there are some bad apples in the school but the school isnt horrible. i loved that school and i actualy didnt want to leave. it was easy to make friends there and it also was a big school. i loved the amount of opportunitys i recieved ther
This school was horrible. The lack of respect that the students have how rude the guards are. All this school has done is made me angry bitter and racist.
greatest high school in the neighborhood. the teachers are great and the really care. security is top notch and way better than the topshottas in scholars academy.
I m a current student at beach channel and I wouldn't recommend anyone send there child here children are not safe here there are fights every day the staff are rude the most of the teachers don t care if the students pass or fail that is shown by the low test grades the large number of kids that don't graduate on time and the kids that drop out .
My daughter is a junior at Beach Channel high school and is very happy. The teachers are professionals and willing to go the extra mile to help their students. The principal and parent coordinator are pure gems, other staff members should take their example. The school lacks parent involvement, a website, SAT prep classes. Yes, the school can be disorganized at times but it lacks staff and parent volunteers.
