I absolutely love this school because there are friendly teachers and students who are always there for me. Even if a student is not my friend, he/she is always there, proving that the school has instilled good virtues in the students. So I believe that this school is a great school with excellent teacher and parent coordination for making a bright future for each and every student. I hope more students get enrolled in Helen B. Duffield Elementary School.
all i can say, it is good school with good education, which we think we need for our childrens.
This helen b duffield school is known for invading the privacy act they want to know why your child is sick and what there diagnois is its none of there business thats what my child doctors say and as a parent I agree, Thats why we have the privacy act there want to invade in your childs privacy act dont let them tell you other wise dont let them threaten you the law is on your side thought you might want to know
All I can say is I absolutely love Duffield! My daughter is entering 3rd grade and all of her teachers so far have been outstanding. She is my only child in school so far but I'm sure my other two children will do great also. Between the principal, teachers and whole staff, I can't say enough about this school. Everybody is so kind and they care so much about the students and the PTA and their activities are great. My daughter truly loves going to school which is a pleasure. As for a complaint for Duffield, I really can't come up with one.
I have a daughter in Kindergarten, and she absolutely loves going to school everyday. Her teacher is very accomodating, motivated, focused and polite. As you can see this is the best school in the whole connetquot school district, ratings speak for itself. School environment is very friendly and welcoming, great manythings going on. I'm glad my other two will be joining soon.
I am very pleased with this school. Everyone is very friendly and my son is getting a good education. I have had no problems with this school at all and am happy that my other children will be attending this school in the years coming
I think Duffield has been a wonderful place for my kids to learn! Good teachers (for the most part) and a great learning atmosphere! The principal has been great. I really like how she runs the school, and always feel like my kids are in safe hands!
It's unfortunate that the last reviewer had some bad teachers, but we've only had good ones. (Especially one who just retired!)Our children have received quality educations from caring, nurturing teachers who gave their all. As for Mrs. Farrell, she has led Duffield to higher standards, and it shows!
I am astonished at the reviews I have read about Mrs. Farrell. My son was in the self-contained spec. ed class and had so many problems the three years he was there that there isn't enough room here to mention them all! I guess the other reviewers children didn't need anything out of the norm because if they had they would have had diffreent opinions! My son had many teacher changes over years because the 'perfect teacher' for my child always turned out to have alot of problems including verbally abusing students to yelling and screaming at them(other parents also had problems not just spec. ed!) Ironically, the best teacher my child had was not given tenure. I guess she didn't want to keep the good ones!(that teacher is now a highly regarded teacher at Patchogue-Medford)I am now moving to Three Village because of my disgust with this school.BEWARE DUFFIELD!
Duffield is at an all-time high! With its excellent leadership, (Mrs. Farrell), the school has become a wonderful place for children to learn. The newest group of teachers she hired are really great. I think they show such creativity and dedication. Seeing them get tenure is a wonderful thing! My children have really benefitted from being in their classes!
