My friend moved to Roslyn recently and during the first few days she got bullied and harassed by a lot of her peers. There is no one that stops it and the administration does not care at all. This school is the worst school on LONG ISLAND and its full of incompetent inconsiderate kids. DO NOT GO HERE! ASIANS GET DISCRIMINATED A LOT. I've heard from a lot of people who go there.

truthfuly place and academic level is very strong especially teachers are very friendly but community is very conservative as mostly religious

Roslyn, academically, is very strong. In fact, sometimes overly rigorous, but in preparation for college, it helps. However, as a community, Roslyn lacks unity. The community needs a little more diversity and exposure to other backgrounds.

Truthfully, as a student, I don't like the place because of the students but as for academics, I think they are great.

About the tests

In 2011-2012 New York used the New York State Assessments to test students in grades 3 through 8 in English language arts and math, and in grades 4 and 8 in science. The results for English language arts and math are displayed on GreatSchools profiles and the science results will be added when they are released in the Fall of 2013. The tests are standards-based, which means they measure how well students are mastering specific skills defined for each grade by the state of New York. The goal is for 90% of students to meet or exceed grade-level standards on the tests.
