I would like to say that the principal at Petrova elementary does a fabulous job. His Duties are always completed promptly and his personality is out of this world. If Josh Dann cant not put a smile on someones face, turning around their day, I do not know who can. He is great to new teachers and staff making them feel at home, and has a way with the kids that makes them happy, and excited to learn. Cannot give enough praise to this man.
I am the parent of 4 children attending Petrova Elementary school. We moved to the district 2 years ago and found that every teacher we encountered was great at engaging our children and encouraged a smooth transition. They have added challenge and creativity to the curriculum and encourage the children to learn by alternative methods than just a text book. Even our kids with special learning needs have found success. The principal has been outstanding!
Petrova Elementary School has an excellent kindergarten teacher. She goes above and beyone the call of duty for her class. Parent involvment is high as she gets her families involed with her kids. There is plenty of music, art, sports and activites for the kids to do.
As a former student teacher at Petrova, I was witness to the kindness and helpfulness of the teachers and principal there. All of which do as much as they can for all of the students, even if they are not in their own class. Located not 1/4 of a mile from the lake, the school offers a variety of after school programs and activities for a variety of children. Their special education program includes teachers who go out of their way to help these students learn and cope with their disabilities. This school encourages, nurtures and lets children's skills grow and blossom. I enjoyed my time there and any student would do well to spend time in the care of Petrova Elementary.
Our family has been here for 2 1/2 yrs and we have 3 kids enrolled in this school but we have had nothing but problems with this school since we moved here...we feel that the staff is not there to teach our kids but to make them lie and cheat...they could care less about the welfare of the children and it really angers us to the point where we are eventually going to speak to someone higher up in the chain... like the board of education...because something has to be done
